Increase class size at MCS?

Now that some dust has settled for this year on financing Act 127, I wonder if our School Board should address the difficult question of increasing class size (students per section) at Marion Cross School. Under H.850, which is now law, school boards can delay the vote on their budgets until April 15 in order to rework them. An update on topics that the Norwich Observer is following. School Board vacancy filled Lily Trajman was appointed by the Norwich School Board on November 3 to fill the vacancy on the Board due to the resignation of Kelley Hersey. She will serve until Town Meeting in March. The Board selected Dr. Trajman from a field of three candidates, each of whom made presentations to the Board. School Board seat available

The Norwich School Board wishes to fill a vacancy on its board, due to the resignation of one of its members. The person appointed also serves on the Dresden School Board. If you want to apply, the deadline for letters of interest is October 29. Norwich Selectboard and School Board candidates

Two Selectboard seats and three School Board seats are up for election in 2020. Only one seat on the Selectboard is contested. Who’s running? Norwich School Board Elections: Only one of three incumbents plans to run

Three of the five Norwich School Board seats are up for election this year. Only one incumbent is seeking reelection. School Board Chair Tom Candon is running for reelection. However, at the Board meeting on January 8, as seen on CATV, both Jim Mackall and Lauren Morando Rhim indicated they would not be running. Mr. Mackall is the Norwich Vice Chair, while Ms. Rhim is the Secretary.
