About

The Norwich Observer mostly provides news and commentary about local government in the Town of Norwich. I am interested in our Town and like writing on the topic. There is a lot to “observe” about local government and most residents do not have the time. Most of my post are based on information generally available to the public. I hope readers find it informative.

My family has lived in Norwich for about 20 years, in two installments. For a brief period in 2006, I chaired the DRB. In 2023, the settlement of my Open Meeting Law suit against the Town vindicated my position on working groups and town manager groups. In a prior life, I practiced law in Boston. I am a flatlander who thinks cows are wild animals. I am living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
