As a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Dan and Whit’s<\/a> is dusting off a practice common in the 1950’s. It is offering pick-up and delivery services. The General Store made the announcement yesterday on the listserv. Dan Fraser’s post lays out the ground rules of what he terms a “work in progress.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The time has come (actually it once was) we are just re-establishing  the service that was once common in the 1950\u2019s, due in part to limit exposure to germs and large crowd\/public settings.<\/p>

We are going to do a one month trial and then regroup, revise and\/or cancel. It will be a work in progress!<\/p>

How would you like to email in our grocery order and just have to swing by to pick it up<\/p>

Here is what we know so far:<\/p>

1. Credit Cards, checks or store charge accounts only (no cash).<\/p>

2. Orders will have a $20.00 minimum.<\/p>

3.  Alcohol, CBD products, Ammo, (and other age regulated items) must be picked up by a legal aged adult. Other items may be at our discretion as well.<\/p>

More is better right? So—– if you want DELIVERY:<\/p>

1. Credit cards or checks only (no cash).<\/p>

2. Orders will have a $20.00 minimum<\/p>

3 Delivery fee of $10.00 (Free for any order over $75.00).<\/p>

4. No regulated items (Alcohol, CBD products, ammo, etc).<\/p>

5.Delivery is within an approximate  5 mile radius of Dan & Whit’s.<\/p>

The small print: Snow\/weather,  and staffing, etc.,  may delay service\/cancel it for the day.  Orders must be received by 1pm and delivery will be made the following day (apps. 24 hour turn around) We will make deliveries ASAP,. but want to give ourselves some leeway. Some restrictions apply- large\/heavy items may not be available for delivery or may have an additional charge. <\/p>

By using this service, you agree to having items left at the door if no one is home (find a nice box\/bin that items can be left in- make it animal proof). Plan ahead as to how weather might impact items purchased. (melting ice cream in July. Frozen Milk in Dec., Deli\/prepared hot food items most likely will no longer be hot. etc) <\/p>

Service currently will be Mon-Fri. (no delivery on Sat\/Sun, but give us try and we will do our best).<\/p>
