Zuckerman nominated to U.S. Junior Nordic Combined Team<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Lake Placid News reports<\/a> that USA Nordic has nominated 45 American athletes to its 2021-22 national and junior nordic combined and ski jumping teams. Among those is Caleb Zuckerman, age 15, of Norwich and the Ford K. Sayre Memorial Ski Council. Mr. Zuckerman’s nomination is to the Nordic Combined Team, Men\u2019s Junior Team. According to the story, final teams are named in the Fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stave Puzzles\u2019 virtual auction raises $3,300 to benefit the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Stave Puzzles in Norwich raised $3,300 for the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund in an auction of a one-of-a-kind puzzle, Guardian of the Band, according to a May 27 press release<\/a>. The Ellen Show is popular at Stave. The program is “almost always on the television in their shop in the afternoon because she keeps the artisans and staff in good spirits and fills the building with laughter. “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Tyler’s AirPods Pro<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The Apple AirPods Pro of David Tyler of Norwich got a brief<\/span> mention in the Wall Street Journal’s Personal Tech column by Nicole Nguyen. Seems that his AirPods were “magically connecting” to the wrong device. The WSJ column, Your AirPods Aren\u2019t \u2018Magically Connecting\u2019? Here Are Some Things to Try<\/em>, is here<\/a>. For those who are not subscribers, the Norwich angle in the article reads: “David Tyler, of Norwich, Vt., was midsentence on a Zoom call when his AirPods Pro connected to his iPad unexpectedly. He now closes his iPad\u2019s case and puts his phone face down to avoid the automatic switching.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
